This strike is one that will definitely be remembered by all in this country of ours, lecturers in the federal university of Abuja came out to protest and some police men stopped them from carrying out the protest. Is it that they dont want any protest on the Asuu strike again, if they dont then why dont they do something to bring the strike to an end.
It was gathered that the police men came out throwing tear gas all over the place all in a bid to stop the protesting lecturers who were gathered at the mini campus of the university at Gwagwalada.
Dr. Clement Chup, zonal Chairman of ASUU, told the journalists that ASUU forwarded a written request to the Commissioner of Police at Gwagwalada to notify him of their intentions, but all the protesters were shocked when the policemen showed up and prevented them from entering the campus.
