ASUU Signs MOU With FG to End Strike
The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU and Federal Government yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding, MOU as part of ongoing efforts to end the five months industrial dispute in the nation’s university system.
The supervising minister of education, Barr Nyson Wike said the federal government has met all the demands of ASUU.
Correspondent Alhassan Bala reports that the minister spoke during a meeting with the leadership of ASUU and NLC President in Abuja where the MOU to end the strike was signed.
ASUU President, Nasir Isah Fagge expressed happiness, saying the ASUU leadership will meet for further decision. NLC president, Comrade Abdulwahab Umar said he hopes this will be the last meeting between ASUU and the Federal Government on the strike.
